NEW PATIENT CENTRE
Welcome to the new patient centre for CW Rehab! We are currently accepting new patients, and are operating safely in the office, as well as taking all necessary COVID-19 related precautions.
If something is not right with the foundational systems in your body, it needs to be addressed before true health can be achieved. Manual therapies like chiropractic, physiotherapy, and massage therapy address many common reasons why people experience pain and other health issues. Our services are performed by highly trained experts and our patients report significant improvements in their pain levels and overall well being.
First, each new patient is thoroughly assessed by one of our health practitioners to diagnose the cause of the complaint. Then, we design an effective treatment plan to help the patient recover using a variety of therapies. If you’ve never experienced manual therapy before, you might be a bit apprehensive about your first visit. Please do not hesitate to contact our office at 416-463-1500 with any questions you may have.
Our Three Phases of Care
Phase 1: Relief Care
If you are in pain when you come into our Toronto Rehabilitation office, our first objective is to help you reduce this pain and start feeling better as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition causing your discomfort, it’s typical for a patient to need care 1-2 times per week until pain and function start to improve.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
During this phase, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury or pain. The goal of corrective or restorative care is to help bring your body back to 100% functioning. Treatment frequency may decrease in this phase as your body heals. Responsibility is transferred onto the patient in this phase, so that you can help take control of your treatment and make the necessary changes (for example – exercises, diet, and postural correction) to help give you the best recovery.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing pain or other symptoms, it’s important to come in for periodic treatments to avoid future issues. Usually, this phase of care only requires a visit to the clinic every 4-6 weeks to continue receiving the benefits of your treatment.
